Hello and welcome!

My name is Kristan and I’m passionate about helping people reconnect themselves to find their inner strength and wisdom.  Life throws us curveballs, and at times, it’s hard to get past the muck of anxiousness, lack of clarity, and indecision.  I’ve been there!

“What do you want?”

I vividly remember my therapist asking me this when I was 41 years old; I didn’t understand the question. So I asked, “Do you mean what do I like to do in my free time, or what am I good at?” She said, “No, what do you want in life?” I had a blank stare on my face; I could tell that the answer couldn’t be anything general - like happiness, or anything material - like wanting a new car. No one had ever asked me that before in that way; I responded that I had honestly never thought about it.

After sharing my background with her, she realized that I didn’t have a secure attachment and missed a few stages in development, but she told me the good news was that it probably wouldn’t take 41 years to catch up. Very funny, I thought.

She was right, it’s taken me a lot less time. However, it wasn’t easy, and I took my development seriously as I was navigating life’s challenges, such as several health issues and a divorce that took several years to settle. I found that the more self-aware I was, the better I could select professionals who could help me work towards finding solutions. I read a lot of books, attended many workshops, and tried various healing modalities. I continued prioritizing my wellness even when much of the dust settled.

Just when I thought I was done and had all the practices I needed, I was met with a few other challenges that knocked me off the block again. There I was, discouraged that I was right back to where I started, but remembered there are so many things out there that can help. I went back to my notes and started trying more modalities. It was at that time that I rediscovered the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). It was so powerful that I became a certified practitioner. While this is the foundation of my practice, I find it helpful to weave in the wisdom from all I’d studied. For me, it’s helpful to see things through a variety of lenses, which is the reason for creating Revively®. The resources on the site may be just the stepping stone you’re looking for. However, if you’d like to explore any challenges you’re facing one on one with me you can book an appointment.

I typically work with people facing big transitions, whether it’s a divorce, graduation, or career change. Each of these includes grieving the past while trying to embrace an unknown or uncertain future. Often, feelings of “not being good enough” or symptoms of anxiety will come up and prevent you from moving forward. I’m here to hold a nurturing space for you to explore the topics on your mind and find clarity. Whether you or your child are going through a tough spot, I can help. We all need support.
